How to produce rattan cane webbing
Step 1: Prepare rattan raw materials
The rattan materials are rattan peel from rattan trees that are old enough, plump, shiny and flexible to produce the quality rattan weave rolls
Step 2: Steaming and stripping the rattan Peels
After harvesting rattan trees, they will be steamed to strip into thin, even fibers
Step 3: Weaving the rattan cane webbing mesh
The craftsman will use the quality rattan peels to weave into a mesh having hexagon patterns. The weaving operations are repeated until the rattan panels have the desired length.
Step 4: Process and check the product
When the rattan meshes are completed. The craftsman will re-check the weaving joints as well as the locking joints at the ends of the rattan sheets before they are sold on market. Frayed fibers will also be trimmed or blown clean with a blow dryer. Ensure the most durable and sturdy woven panels when they reach customers.
Step 5: Packaging and preservation
